Vision and Values

At Butts Primary School, we aim to enable all members of the school community to achieve their best by providing a creative and challenging education within a caring, inclusive environment.

Learning to be successful learners:

We motivate children to enjoy learning and become confident learners. We have an exciting, meaningful curriculum and a stimulating learning environment.

Learning to be confident individuals:

We promote high self-esteem and independence and develop children’s ability to talk and communicate effectively.

Learning to be responsible citizens:

We encourage children to have respect for themselves, others and the environment and to take responsibility for their actions.

To achieve these aims, all staff should:-

  • Lead by example; inspire and enthuse
  • Recognise, praise and celebrate success
  • Be positive: show respect, understanding and patience.
  • Promote excellence with positive leadership and direction.
  • Provide a happy and safe environment in which children and parents feel valued and welcome.
  • Provide opportunities to extend children's experiences; e.g. participation in sports, performance, clubs, educational visits and visitors.
  • Work in partnership with parents and the wider community.
  • Seek continually to improve our school; have opportunities to generate and try out ideas and work as a team.
