We are seeking to employ a part time SENCO to join our team from 19th October 2020. This position will be part time 0.6/ 3 days per week.
We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ primary school with one form entry year groups, inclusive 210 pupils and a 52 place Nursery School, situated near to Walsall Town Centre. We are a small and friendly school, with a strong community based ethos. We are also part of the Cadmus Family of schools.

The SENCO, under the direction of the Head of School, will:
Determine the strategic development of special needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school.
Be responsible for day to day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.
Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
The following is required:-
Qualified teacher status as is a requirement under the SEND Code of Practice.
National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment as is a requirement under the SEND Code of Practice.
Teaching experience – minimum of 3 years.
Experience of working at a whole-school level
Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning
Experience of conducting training/leading INSET
Ideally have experience of line managing staff.
