Everyone enjoys reading Fairy Tales in Year 2 but we really enjoy the ones with a twist, so Stinky Jack and the Beanstalk is just right for us.
Something strange has happened recently, we were shocked to find out that the giant had actually visited our classroom and left a trail of destruction.
Winnie the Witch
Winnie the Witch lives in a black house with black chairs, stairs, floors and doors. Even her cat Wilbur is black and Winnie's always tripping over him!
How does Wilbur feel about constantly being tripped over and then why does Winnie like the colour black so much? So many answers to look for.
The Day the Crayons came Home
One day, Duncan is happily colouring with his crayons when a stack of postcards arrives in the mail from his former crayons, each of which has run away or been left behind, and all of which want to come home.
What could the crayons have written to him and why have they run away?
Year 2 had a spectacular time creating their tie-dye t-shirts. They were hung out overnight to dry and the end results are mind-blowing.
We may have some fashion designers and artists in our midst.
Parent workshop - Gingerbread Man
You may have heard the phrase, "Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man."
Well today, Year 2 parents made sure that their Gingerbread Man didn't get away and worked with the children to design and make their own Gingerbread Men.
